DIRECTIONS FROM SAN ANTONIO 

From the Airport, take Loop 410 West 14 miles to Highway 90 West. Head west on Hwy 90 38 miles to D’Hanis. When you get to D’Hanis you will turn north on FM 1796, which will be on the right side just before the flashing yellow lights. Travel FM 1796 for approximately 14.5 miles. You will turn right on CR 311, it will curve very sharp to your left, that is to let you know you are on the right road and to be careful. You will travel down CR 311 for 2.0 miles; on your right side will be CR 111, turn here to your right. Go 5.0 miles. Turn left at a sign that says RECORDBUCK HUNTERS ENTRANCE. There will be a latch on the gate please latch it back the way it was. Then you will travel down this road approximately for 1.5 miles RecordBuck Ranch main will be right in front of you. 

DIRECTIONS FROM THE NORTH

FROM BANDERA: take FM 470 approximately 28 miles. Turn left on FM 187.  Utopia will be 2 miles further on 187. 

FROM LEAKEY/HIGHWAY 83: Go south on Hwy 83 10 miles to FM 1050 on your left across from a Shell Gas Station. Head east on FM 1050 16 miles until it ends at FM 187. Turn Right.

As you exit Utopia you will see the Sabinal River Lodge on your right (log cabin on stilts).  A couple hundred yards down the highway on your left will be CR 354.  This road is the first road to the left as you leave Utopia.  Follow this road approximately 7 miles.  You will see a black iron gate with the Record Buck name on your right this is the entrance gate to the north end of the ranch.  From the entrance gate you will follow the road 1 1/2 miles to a second electric gate.  (during the 1 1/2 miles you will pass a house w/ a wraparound porch and a barn/shop area on your left.)  Pass through the gate and stay on the main dirt road for 3/4 of a mile.  You will then see the lodge area on your right hand side. 

• Please make sure all gates close behind you.  Every once in a while they act funny.
• After you leave utopia your cell phone will lose service when you get 1/2 way to the ranch.
• Main gate instructions:  Press any button and it will call one of the employee's phones.  When you get an answer the employee will open the gate for you with their phone.  If you don't get an answer with the first number please try another one.
