The Ranch
As one of Texas’ largest game preserves, the 20,000 acre RecordBuck Ranch is as diverse in its wildlife as in its natural beauty. For thousands of years Indians claimed this exact property as their home, included the famed horse braves of the Comanches; Texans and Mexicans fought bravely to claim this property as all early people realized the value of the land you will hunt. Today the ranch has become a haven for over 50 species of game and hunters alike. Whether sitting on a mountain top glassing for Aoudad or rattling for a whitetail buck in the brush below, there is opportunity for everyone from the novice hunter to the discriminating outdoorsman.
RecordBuck Ranch is now home to thriving herds of native Whitetail Deer, Elk, Red Stag, Scimitar Horned Oryx, Eland, Nilgai, Aoudad, Blackbuck Antelope, Axis Deer, Fallow, Wildebeest, Bison, Water Buffalo, and Lechwe. There are also growing herds of Blesbok, Impala, Sitatunga, Pere David Deer, Markhor, Armenian Mouflon, Gemsbok, Black Wildebeest, and Waterbuck just to name a few. With a mission of continual improvement, breeding programs and habitat improvements are made to produce top quality herds and preserve the ranch’s natural resources by providing water, food plots, and year around supplemental feeding throughout the ranch. Some of the foundations for the best genetics include South Texas Deer, 500” Elk and 300” Red Stag.
